Yesterday morning, we woke up at 5:00 am (way too early for me) and walked to the Dalai Lama’s temple. After three hours in meditation pose (the entire lower half of my body fell asleep) the Dalai Lama walked by us and then took his seat in the temple. We weren’t far away and were able to watch as he led the service. It was so amazing; chanting, horns, prayers, meditation, the peaceful gathering of a diverse group of people… and of course, His Holiness the Dalai Lama- it was very cool.
After that high, we had to sit through 5 hours of lecture on Tibetan medicine. It was great information, but I wasn’t in an academic mood after the exciting morning. After lecture, we had the opportunity to sit withan Oracle. So fascinating. I’ll post a video when I get back home.
And today, we met with the Karmapa (read about him here). Also a fascinating experience.
Unfortunately, my time here is so tight that I can hardly find a free second. I anticipate coming home and taking some time to breathe, and then get some pictures and videos up on the site. I’ve learned so much here and hope I can share something beneficial as well!
On a side note, I spent two hours at the police station today. The experience was crazy… I’ll share the story in my next post…

I can’t to hear about the police station! I hope everything is okay!
how great!!!! enjoy and safe travels…..
How long have you been there? It must be a great experience.
I’m home now
It was a 3 week voyage and it was AMAZING!
