Health Care Discussion Results

In 2008, Change.gov challenged Americans to participate in “Health Care Discussions” as a way to encourage conversation and interest for health care reform. In response, 30,603 individuals participated in a discussion and shared their thoughts on what was wrong, right, fair and unfair about our health care system.

After a discussion, each group submitted a summary of their meeting and a final survey on their group’s top health concerns to Change.gov.  The surveys revealed the top 5 concerns participants had for our health care system:

  •  31%   Cost of health insurance
  • 24%   Cost of health care services
  •  20%   Lack of emphasis on prevention
  • 13%   Difficulty finding health insurance because of a pre-existing condition
  • 12%   Quality of health care

Do you agree with these top 5? Check out the discussion Travis hosted (below) and visit HealthReform.gov for more info.
