Cosmo Discovers Yet Another Male Erogenous Zone

And another… and another… and another…

Sex is definitely an aspect of wellness. However, I don’t believe that a healthy sex life is necessary for optimum health.

Interestingly, Cosmopolitan magazine seems to think sex is the only aspect of health. Really, is this mag written by all men? Surprisingly, no– of the seven editors, only two are men. When you google “cosmo” the magazine website pops up and gives eight subcategories that can be clicked on. These subcategories are: Sex Positions, Sex, Cosmo Games, Sex & Love, Horoscopes, Hair, Relationships and Fashion. Really? Has Cosmo reduced women to those eight categories? Three of which are sex?

Oh goodness, I’m just ranting. I check out Cosmo every now and again– it’s a fun read. Just don’t trust this publication to accurately cover any other aspects of wellness.

If you are familiar with Cosmo, you may agree that The Onion does a fine job covering the Cosmo sex obsession:

In my opinion, laughing holds a far bigger piece of the wellness puzzle than sex. So laugh lots today :)

  • Funny! Ive always felt the same way about Cosmo. We are lucky enough to receive complimentary mags at the shop and when the Cosmo issue comes we put it in the back room!I also think most beauty mags make women feel ugly and add to their low self esteem. If you buy, use, eat or try “this new product” your life will magically improve!! And look at Self mag…are they just photo-shopping a different head and bathing suit on the same body month after month after month after month? Really, most of them (especially Cosmo!)are just putting a new headline on the exact same articles over and over, it’s humorous!

Hilarious video! Lorri, you are so right about Self. That mag drives me nuts- it really is the same cover every month!

  • I really liked this post. Can I copy it to my blog?
    Thanks in advance.

    Sincerely, Your Reader.
